BREAKING: Maple Leafs Make A Surprising Move By Signing A Defenseman Midseason
The Toronto Maple Leafs have made a surprising move after signing a defenseman in the middle of the season.
Toronto Sun reporter Lance Hornby just announced that the Maple Leafs have signed defenseman Noah Chadwick to an entry-level contract.
Leafs signed D Noah Chadwick to a three-year ELC. Sixth round pick this year has 24 points in 30 games with Lethbridge Hurricanes. The 6'4, 200-pound defenceman has recorded 47 points (14 goals, 33 assists) in 110 career regular season games.

Chadwick has been quite impressive this season and is proving to be worth more than a 6th round pick.
He will likely not make his NHL debut for a little while but the defenseman surely has the runway to become an everyday player.
