In summary, he made some fatphobic comments about Lizzo, a pop singer, leading many people to call on ESPN to fire him.
P.K. Subban Finds Himself in Yet Another Controversy
Roy Cooper, the Governor of North Carolina, criticized ESPN staff, including P.K. Subban, the former Devils player, for being biased.
"One more thing. ESPN announcers are extraordinarily biased against our @Canes. Griping about calls, extolling the talented Jersey and grudgingly acknowledging that "Carolina deserves credit." Seriously dudes."
Subban immediately responded on Twitter :
It's normal for a former player to root for his old team, and Cooper clearly overreacted.
In this new era of journalism, reporters often take sides, especially well-known personalities who make a career out of sharing their opinions. Subban won't change, even if people are against him sometimes. That's part of the job.
