The Anaheim Ducks have several pieces of interest for playoff teams ahead of the 2023-24 trade deadline, and now they've made a shocking trade within the division.
With the Edmonton Oilers linked to the likes of Jake Guentzel and Pavel Buchenevich, it was always likely they'd swing a big trade at the deadline, and they've done just that.
According to Pierre LeBrun, a deal is heating up between the Oilers and the Ducks over veteran forward Adam Henrique, who would add much needed depth to the Oilers roster.
Hearing that trade talks are heating up between Edmonton and Anaheim on Adam Henrique... let's see where it goes
Details:
The Ducks are only getting draft picks back in the deal for the two forwards.
In 60 games this season, the 34-year old forward has tallied 18 goals and 24 assists for 42 points, and while he's not the player he once was, he can make a great impact for the Oilers, and gives them even more impressive depth as they look to finally make a Stanley Cup run under Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl.
