Today Milan Lucic was arraigned on charges stemming from the domestic incident he was arrested for on Friday. Today the NHL finally put out an announcement about their plans for Lucic.
NHL Makes A Major Announcement Regarding Lucic
In the last few minutes the NHL has announced that Milan Lucic will be entering the NHL's Player Assistance Program.
Milan Lucic will be entering the NHL/NHLPA Player assistance program while he remains in indefinite leave from Bruins
This program was set up to help players overcome problems with mental health and substance abuse issues. With Lucic's arrest involving alcohol it makes for a logical next step. While Lucic is in this program he will remain on indefinite leave from the Bruins.
Lucic's next court date is on January 19th, 2024 this will likely be the next time we hear from or about Lucic. If updates come in the meantime we will pass them along to you.
