Patrice Bergeron returning? Bruins' captain Marchand teases potential comeback
After a dissapointing exit from last year's playoffs at the hands of the Florida Panthers and a record-breaking regular season in Boston, Former Bruins Captain Patrice Bergeron decided to hang up his skates.
New Bruins Captain Brad Marchand, Patrice Bergeron's good friend and teammate of fourteen years shared major information about his potential return this season.
The current team captain, Brad Marchand, made a major revelation about his friend's potential comeback in the NHL this season.
The Boston Bruins are doing very well without Patrice Bergeron, but Brad Marchand would like to see his old accomplice back on the ice:
"Bergy [Bergeron], I think he's annoyed by how many times I push him to come back to the game. He is excited about what's coming."
The Boston Bruins are clearly letting Patrice Bergeron heal as much as possible before the Stanley Cup Playoffs!
Patrice Bergeron's Excited About the Bruins' Season
Despite losing key players last summer (Bergeron, Krejci and Bertuzzi), the Bruins stayed on top of their game.
They're currently sitting at the 1st rank of the Atlantic Division, ahead of the Florida Panthers, Toronto Maple Leafs and Tampa Bay Lightning, with a 23-8-6 record.
Bergeron could be interested in making one last Stanley Cup run. There's no doubt that he can be a valuable addition to the team's roster. His leadership and skills would be a major asset for any Stanley Cup contending team.
