The NHL Robs Connor Bedard Of A Goal Following Terrible Call
Yesterday, the NHL hosted their first ever "Frozen Frenzy", where all 32 teams were in action.
The star of the show? Connor Bedard. The new superstar in the NHL was playing against the Boston Bruins, but unfortunately, the game was overshadowed by a terrible call on the ice.
NHL Robs Bedard of Spectacular Goal
In the first period of the game, Bedard scored a great goal with an absolute sniper. Then, he did a great celebration, showing the world his creativity and his talent.
"Connor Bedard capitalizes on the brutal Boston turnover with a terrific one-timer tally!"
But the NHL decided otherwise. They called off the goal, after a video review showed that the Hawks were offside.
NHL Receives Backlash After Controversial Call on Bedard's Goal
The offside wasn't called on the play and the Hawks stayed in the Bruins' zone a while before scoring.
However, even if the zone entry didn't have a thing to do with the goal, and the offside was a question of inches, they still canceled the goal.
Ryan Whitney, former NHLer and current co-host of Spittin' Chiclets, heavily criticized the league after the call in a video posted on X.
"Bedard no goal is a disgrace"
