Rumors are swirling that Linus Ullmark is being shopped by the Boston Bruins. The star goalie is one season removed from winning the Vezina trophy as the NHL's top goaltender with a 40-6-1 record, a 1.89 goals against average, and a 0.938 save percentage. He has two years left on his deal that pay him an AAV of $5 million per year.
According to the source for NHL Trade Rumors the Bruins are talking to the LA Kings about one of the teams' centremen.
It is no secret the Bruins are hurting down the middle after losing both Patrice Bergeron and David Krejci to retirement. The Bruins currently have Pavel Zacha as the teams #1C, Matthew Poitras as the #2C, and Charlie Coyle as the #3C.
According to rumors, the LA Kings are willing to send Phillip Danault to the Bruins for Ullmark. Danault is a top two way defenseman, who has four years left on his deal at $5.5 million.
There would have to be many other moving pieces as the Kings still have Cam Talbot and Phoenix Copley guarding the crease at a combined cap of $2.5 million.
