Chris Snow, the Flames' Assistant General Manager, passed away Saturday after a long fight with ALS at only 42 years old.

This is a devastating loss for the hockey world. Snow has been in the NHL since 2006. He worked for four years with the Minnesota Wild before joining the Flames in 2010.

Treliving and Snow have been working together in Calgary since 2014.

The Leafs GM released this heartfelt declaration:

"I am devastated by the loss of our dear friend and colleague, Chris Snow. 'Snowy' was a true example of strength, courage, grit, and compassion.

Beyond being an exceptional colleague, he was a cherished friend who deeply impacted our lives. His intellect was matched only by his incredible kindness, thoughtfulness, and unwavering love and devotion to his family and friends.

Chris inspired us all as he faced the relentless battle with ALS head-on, refusing to let it define him or derail his spirit.

On behalf of my family and the Toronto Maple Leafs organization, we send our thoughts and prayers to his beloved wife Kelsie, his son Cohen, and his daughter Willa during this unimaginably difficult time. May they find comfort in knowing Chris's legacy of love, strength, and love will forever endure."

We would also like to extend our sincerest wishes to the Snow family during these dark times.
