Discover how Matthew Tkachuk and the Calgary Flames shockingly shift alliances to become Edmonton Oilers fans. Dive into this stunning NHL twist.
Matthew Tkachuk of the Calgary Flames understands how quickly life will come at you. The Oilers nemesisis now taking a break, hoping and praying that the Edmonton Oilers will win a few games in regulation.
The Oilers will face the Montreal Canadiens on Monday and Wednesday this week, and the Flames will need the Oilers' support if they want to make the playoffs.
Although the Flames wait for Connor McDavid to dominate two more hockey games this season, they must also take care of business against the Vancouver Canucks on Thursday night. On Sunday night, the Flames took care of step one by defeating the Ottawa Senators 5-1. Following the game, Tkachuk had the following to say:
"We just have to win and pray. That's all we can do tomorrow. Never thought we'd root for Edmonton but we need them to win these."
