Zach Aston-Reese, a former member of the Toronto Maple Leafs organization, received some unfortunate news in the last few minutes.
Former Maple Leaf Released From PTO By the Carolina Hurricanes
The Hurricanes announced that they have released Aston-Reese from the PTO he signed with Carolina this summer.
Last season, he scored 14 points in 77 games with the Maple Leafs.
Per Frank Seravalli:
"#Canes have released Zach Aston-Reese from his PTO. He scored 10 goals with the #Leafs last season."
