Hurricanes Head Coach Exposes NHL Officials
The Carolina Hurricanes head coach Rod Brind'Amour has never gotten along with the NHL officials.
Brind'Amour has had numerous blowups throughout his career as a coach, and has been issued fines for many of the comments he has made in the past about the officiating.
Brind'Amour Calls out the NHL Officials Again
On Sunday, Brind'Amour made another statement regarding the officiating. He felt that the refs gave his team an unfair penalty during the second period, this penalty turned out to be a pivotal point in the game.
"Was it a penalty?," asked a frustrated Brind'Amour when asked about the penalty call. "Let's just be honest about it, it's not a penalty. The frustrating part about it is... you gotta kill it but they've got a pretty good player and he's going to get his opportunities."
Brind'Amour accused the referees of handing the goal to the Boston Bruins, the goal happened to be the 50th goal for Bruins forward David Pastrnak. It was also the 600th point of his career.
"It's hard when you feel like they're just tossing them a goal," said Brind'Amour of the officials.
It is unclear if Brind'Amour will be fined for this statement, but we are certain that the NHL referees Ghislain Hebert and Graham Skilliter aren't too happy with this callout.
As seen on Hockeyfeed - Rod Brind'Amour once again calls out the NHL's officiating.
