Taylor Hall was brought in to Chicago this offseason to help surround Connor Bedard with veteran talent. Only a couple of days into training camp and Hall's tenure with the Blackhawks is off to a rough start.
Hall Gets Some Bad News
New reports indicate that Taylor Hall is dealing with an injury. The injury appears to be a lower body injury according to sources.
#Blackhawks' Taylor Hall misses first day of training camp with lower-body injury:
The report does not mention what the injury is or the severity of it but head coach Luke Richardson did comment on it.
"I don't think so, but we're going to just defer till we get more information on that," Richardson said when asked whether he's concerned about it being more than a day-to-day injury. "It's only Day 1, so hopefully tomorrow or the next few days we'll know more."
If Hall is to miss significant time it will be a big loss for Chicago. Still in a rebuild Hall was set to be one of the few proven veterans on a young Blackhawk roster.
Richardson doesn't think Taylor Hall or Colin Blackwell's injuries are too significant but they'll get more info in the coming days. Now the Blackhawks will need to find a way to fill that void in their top-six until Taylor Hall can return. For now, Ryan Donato will fill the top-line role in Taylor Hall's absence.
