The Tampa Bay Lightning have traded away the signing rights to pending free agent Corey Perry.
The Blackhawks have acquired Corey Perry for a 2024 7th-round pick.
Perry will be a free agent on July 1st, so clearly the Blackhawks think they can get him extended.
Perry has spent the past two years in Tampa Bay and was on three consecutive Cup Final losing teams. He will be a great veteran presence to play with Connor Bedard.
Good luck in Chicago, Corey!
