BREAKING: Top Blackhawks Phenom sidelined with long-term injury
oOne of the Chicago Blackhawks' top young forwards has been sidelined long-term with an injury.
Kurashev To The IR
The Chicago Blackhawks announced their opening night roster last night but there was a notable omission, Philipp Kurashev was on the IR.
Kurashev, Blackwell and Dach will all go on IR, per Richardson.
None will travel on the trip, though Kurashev could join later. Blackwell isn't as far along as him. And X-rays were encouraging on Dach, whose ankle got injured Saturday in St. Louis.
Kurashev is one of the best returning forwards for the Chicago Blackhawks. He and Andreas Athanasiou were a large part of the Blackhawk's offense last year.
He was projected as a second-line player on the current Blackhawks roster but will be one of the few players who will get the callup to play alongside Connor Bedard and Taylor Hall.
Hopefully, for the Blackhawks, this is not all too serious and Kurashev can eventually crack the lineup a few games into the season. Kurashev averaged over 17 minutes a night last season.
