The Montreal Canadiens have shipped off multiple top picks in exchange for a top prospect.
Canadiens Acquire Newhook For Multiple Picks
The Montreal Canadiens have traded away the 31st and 37th picks along with Gianni Fairbrother in exchange for 2019 16th overall pick Alex Newhook.
Newhook is coming off a 30 point campaign where he scored 14 goals and registered 16 assists. He is still young and developing so Montreal is betting on upside right here similar to what they did with Kirby Dach last year.
