Rumor: Patrick Kane Linked To A Possible Trade To The Winnipeg Jets
Today a new rumor has surfaced that would send Patrick Kane packing and out of Detroit much faster than anticipated.
Rumor Links Kane To A Return Out West To The Jets
A rumor brought to the surface by NHLTradeRumor.com has given life to the idea that Patrick Kane's stay in Detroit could be a short one. According to one source the Winnipeg Jets are very interested in taking a run at Kane. The source put together a potential package that could be used to lane Kane if he is available.
This would land Kane with a team that has committed to being all in on winning a Stanley Cup this season. The Red Wings would get Rasmus Kupari who has struggled to cut out a role in the NHL in his young career along with a second-round pick.
While this trade looks like it could be beneficial to both sides will the Red Wings truly be interested in letting Kane go? According to one NHL insider, the answer to that is yes.
NHL Insider Confirms The Red Wings Could Consider Moving On From Kane
In a report earlier this season, NHL insider Pierre LeBrun said to keep an eye out for rumblings of Kane being moved by the Red Wings. The decision would be up to Kane who insiders have said was promised a move if the Red Wings are out of contention.
If Kane is indeed moved watch for the Winnipeg Jets to be early favorites. If they can field a competitive offer we could see Kane in his fourth NHL jersey in the last two seasons.
