Leon Draisaitl's Intentional Dirty Play Calls for NHL Player Safety Action
The Oilers played their first game with Kris Knoblauch as head coach, and in a great effort, the players rallied together and won 4-1 against the New York Islanders.
During the game, Leon Draisaitl made a dirty play that should be reviewed by the NHL's Department of Player Safety.
Department of Player Safety to Take Action Against Draisaitl After a Dirty Play?
The Oilers' point leader, Leon Draisaitl, cross-checked Bo Horvat in the legs while he didn't have the puck.
"Fully intentional and as dirty as it gets. Player safety has gotta at least fine him."
Draisaitl's intentions were clear: send the player on the ice. Cross-checking the legs can be extremely dangerous and Horvat could've been seriously injured.
Do you think the DoPS should take action?
