NHL insider Chris Johnston reported today that multiple NHL teams are interested in seeking Perry's services despite his recent incident with the Blackhawks.
There has been a lot of speculation as to whether or not Perry will play in the NHL again after this recent controversy. While we have not heard anything from Perry himself regarding his future, it is clear that there are teams interested in signing him so he should be able to return to the league as early as this season if he so chooses.
Oilers reporter Jim Matheson believes that Perry is a perfect fit for the Oilers. While the team has struggled to start the season, a recent hot streak has fans and team management alike believing that they can still make noise in the playoffs.
According to Matheson, Perry would fill a hole in the Oilers roster, bolstering their depth and making the team better all around.
Matheson might be in luck as it has been reported that the Oilers are in fact one of the teams looking into the possibility of adding Perry for the stretch run.
The Oilers main problems have obviously been in goal, but the tea hasn't exactly been scoring at their normal rate either this season. Perry could provide a much needed shot in the arm for the team's normally lethal offense.
