REPORT: Oilers Set To Sign 1,000 Game Vet
The Oilers are set to bring in a 1,000-game veteran who was originally drafted by Edmonton.
Oilers To Sign Gagner
A recent report has surfaced stating that the Edmonton Oilers will be signing Sam Gagner to a PTO (Professional Try Out).
Gagner is coming off of a 38-game campaign with Winnipeg where he registered 8 goals and 14 points.
He has played for 7 teams in his 16-year career.
Gagner's Relationship With Edmonton
Gagner was initially drafted by the Oilers 6th overall in 2007. In two separate stints with the team, 2007-2014 and 2018-2020, Gagner has registered over 500 games with the Oilers.
He will now be getting another shot with the team at 34 years old and will have to prove himself in training camp to earn a contract.
