Matthew Tkachuk Troubling Injury Update Surfaces
Many considered Matthew Tkachuk to be the best 5-on-5 player during the playoffs. In 20 games, he scored 24 points, but more importantly, he showed up when his team needed him.
It's safe to say that if the Panthers had won the Cup, he'd have won the Conn Smyhte trophy.
And if he wasn't injured, the serie against Vegas might have been different.
Troubling Update
In the last two games that he played, Tkachuk was a shadow of his former self, and we can now understand why.
He played through a broken sternum in games three and four.
"Matthew Tkachuk suffered a broken sternum and played through it in games 3 & 4, but the pain was so unbearable he was shutdown for game 5.
He couldn't sit up on his own, and his brother had to help him out of bed and get ready for the game."
This justifies his lower performances in the last games. Any normal person couldn't even get out of bed with a broken sternum. Tkachuk played two games.
"He couldn't dress himself for the game. Somebody helped him get his gear on. Somebody helped him tie his skates."
He's a warrior, a leader, and a true inspiration.
We can't wait to see what he'll bring to the table next season.
