Panthers Matthew Tkachuk guarantees win ahead of Game 5 of the Stanley Cup Final

The Florida Panthers hold a 3-1 lead in the Stanley Cup Finals. After being blown out in Game 4 during their first opportunity to secure the Stanley Cup today forward Matthew Tkachuk guaranteed a Stanley Cup win tonight during his media availability.

This guarantee from Matthew Tkachuk is not the first time that a player has done this in the NHL. Former Edmonton Oiler and current NHL analyst guaranteed a series win when he was with the New York Rangers in the Eastern Conference Finals. His team would go on to win that game and eventually the Stanley Cup as well.

Matthew Tkachuk is looking to join his former high school classmate Jayson Tatum as a champion in 2024. Jayson Tatum and the Boston Celtics locked up an NBA championship last night. After winning Jayson Tatum gave some words of encouragement for his friend and former classmate.
