Patrick Roy bashes Carey Price during the interview.
Former Stanley Cup Champion Roy mentioned that he decided to retire in 2003, with one year left on his $8.5 million contract, rather than remain on the long-term injured list.
"I'd rather retire, than say, 'I've got a sore leg, pay up!"
When I retired I had one year left on my contract at $8.5M, but for me hockey is a passion and I wasn't going to sit there on the injury list and tell the team, my leg hurts, pay me!
He was clearly talking about Carey Price and Shea Weber of this world.
