Canadiens Defenseman Scores The Wackiest Goal Of The Year
In a game against the Nashville Predators defenseman David Savard has added a goal to his highlight reel. Near the end of the second period, a faceoff at center ice set the stage for an insane goal.
David Savard got the puck off the faceoff after being cut off near center ice by a Predators forward Savard shot the puck into the corner to gain possession in the zone. As the puck traveled toward the glass it bounced off the stanchion in the corner and deflected on the net.
In doing so the puck went in the net due to Nashville goaltender Jusse Saros being behind the net to play the puck.
DAVID SAVARD JUST SCORED FROM CENTRE ICE
David Savard with the craziest stanchion bounce goal I've ever seen
This goal is one of the most wacky and odd goals you will ever see. It is one of those things that you do once in a video game and then can never replicate no matter how hard you try.
OMG. We have a candidate for weirdest goal of the year--for David Savard. 2-2.
Unfortunately, the NHL does not have an award at the end of the year for the most unique goal of the season. However, if they did David Savard would surely be the leader in the clubhouse as of today.
