The Montreal Canadiens are expected to be big players for pending UFA Patrick Kane when the clock strikes 12pm on Monday.

According to insider Frank Seravalli, the Montreal Canadiens will be in top pursuit for Patrick Kane tomorrow shall he not re-sign with the Detroit Red Wings.

If Patrick Kane hits the free agent market (which he is expected to), sources say the Montreal Canadiens are preparing a pitch for him. (to sign him)

Jeff Gorton has previously mentioned how they want the Habs to start competing for the playoffs as of next season, and with the acquisition of Patrick Kane, their case can most definitely help.

Kane, a first overall pick in 2007, racked up a solid 47 points in 50 games with the Detroit Red Wings in 2023-2024.
