With less than two hours to go before today's game against the Florida Panthers, the Habs organization has just announced that two more players have been placed on the NHL's COVID-19 protocol.
The Montreal Canadiens have just announced that Alexander Romanov and Jake Evans have been placed on the NHL's COVID-19 protocol.
Jake Evans and Alexander Romanov have been placed on the NHL's COVID-19 protocol list.
Evans and Romanov, two of the Canadiens' youngest and brightest players, are major losses for the team as both are looking to be big parts of the Canadiens' future. Evans is a former 7th-round pick of the Habs in 2014 while Romanov was a 2nd-round pick of the Habs in 2018.
If the game goes ahead, Montreal Canadiens head coach Dominique Ducharme will officially be short-handed and will have to go into battle with two less soldiers, for a total of 18 players in uniform (11 forwards, 5 defensemen and 2 goalies).
