Islanders players show shocking display of poor sportsmanship after blowing the game in the final seconds
Last night, the Nashville Predators beat the New York Islanders 3-1 in Nashville.
Predators Score Late Game-Winning Goal Against the Islanders
The Predators scored the game-winning goal with seven seconds left in the third period.
On the next shift, the Islanders goalie was at the bench and replaced by a sixth skater. With less than one second left in the game, the Preds sored in the empty net.
Islanders Disrespect Fans By Leaving Game Before the End
After the second goal, with 0.5 seonds remaining to the game, all Islanders players had already left to the locker room, except Bo Horvat and the players on the ice.
Check out how it went down:
"After allowing the game-winning goal in the dying seconds, aside from the 5 guys on the ice and the goalie the #Isles all went to the room before the final horn???
MEGA YIKES"
"You wanna talk about culture and what it means to be an Islander look at Bo Horvat here. All the other country club cowards that wear the crest fuck off to the room but this guy sits here and watches until the horn blows. #isles"
Even with was less than a second remaining, players should've stayed on the bench.
The Islanders didn't look good in this one. The least they could have done is lose with professionalism, sportsmanship, and respecting the fans who paid money to see them.
Losing like that is hard on players, but it's no reason to act like that. They only made things worse.
