Western Conference Team Reportedly Eyeing Alexis Lafreniere
From a QMJHL phenom to a borderline bust, 21-year-old Alexis Lafreniere isn't the player the New York Rangers need him to be.
It now appears that a western conference team has set their eye on the former first overall pick, and will make an attempt to acquire him this summer.
Canucks in on Lafreniere
The Vancouver Canucks made an attempt at another Rangers reclamation project this season in Vitali Kravstov. Kravstov opted to return to Russia, but Lafreniere will almost certainly stay in the NHL.
The 2020 1st overall pick hasn't found his game in the Big Apple, being forced in to a competitive team at 18. With him being an RFA, it is seeming more and more likely that he'll be traded.
«Lafrenière, they really like himthey're going to try and create cap spaceMyers, Garland, if there's something there for Boeser, Milleryou're gonna hear these names at the NHL Draft again.»
