RUMOR: Kyle Dubas Looking To Bring Another Former Leaf To Pittsburgh
Kyle Dubas is looking to bolster Pittsburgh's roster by bringing in a key bottom-six player.
Dubas Eyeing Aston-Reese
Zach Aston-Reese is one of the premier bottom-six forwards in the NHL. While he does not generate much offense, he is outstanding defensively and can prove himself as a capable player that any team wants.
A recent rumor has circled hockey circles that Kyle Dubas and the Penguins are looking to bring him back. Eklund of HockeyBuzz.com reports the following:
Hearing Montreal, The Islanders, and the Panthers all with interest.. Possible return to Pitt?
Aston-Reese's Ties To Pittsburgh
Aston-Reese has many ties to Pittsburgh. First off, he played there for the 4 and a half years of his NHL career before getting traded to Anaheim. Secondly, he played all of last year with the Maple Leafs and worked with Dubas in getting his contract signed.
With training camps nearing, we will see if Aston-Reese will return to Pittsburgh or sign elsewhere in hopes of having a larger role.
