This current Pittsburgh Penguins core has been at it for a long time, winning three Stanley Cup Championships together, and now, they're on the verge of another broken record.

An incredible trio

Over the years, the trio of Sidney Crosby, Evgeni Malkin and Kris Letang have been in some big moments, and through it all, they've managed to stick together in a league that doesn't see that often.

Now, as they look to begin the chase for another Stanley Cup, they are on the brink of breaking the record set by Jorge Posada, Derek Jeter and Mariano Rivera as the 'big four' sports longest tenured trio in history.

Ready for the Big Three to take the ice for their 18th season together.

Sidney Crosby, Evgeni Malkin and Kris Letang are set to surpass the New York Yankees' Derek Jeter, Mariano Rivera and Jorge Posada as the longest-tenured trio of teammates in NHL, MLB, NBA and NFL history.

Another Cup incoming?

Despite all three heading towards the twilight of their career, they showed in 2022-23 that they can still get it done, and with the addition of Erik Karlsson, this is a team that once again looks dangerous.

Whether or not they can finish their quest for a fourth Stanley Cup, they will go down as one of the greatest trio's in sports history, and if they can bring another Cup to Pittsburgh, they'll no doubt be in the conversation for the best of the best.
