The Erik Karlsson trade hasn't exactly turned out how Kyle Dubas intended. Coming off a 101-point season with the San Jose Sharks, the Penguins' management thought Karlsson would be able to lift the team back into the playoffs. Unfortunately, he didn't.

After parting ways with Jake Guentzel at the trade deadline, Kyle Dubas will surely consider making other major changes to the team. There's been a lot of rumors involving Sidney Crosby, but a new one suggests that Karlsson could be on the move this off-season.

Pittsburgh Penguins to Trade Karlsson This Summer? He Has Been Linked to the Ottawa Senators

Karlsson, who played for the Senators between 2009 and 2018, could be traded back to where it all started for him.

Elliotte Friedman revealed on 32 Thoughts that it won't be easy to move him, but if the Pens really want to do it, the Ottawa Senators could make it work.

Considering that Karlsson has a no-trade clause, earns $11,500,000 a year, and is already 33 years old, it won't be easy to move him.

However, the Senators are expected to be very active this summer. If they don't go after their former captain, it'll be after others. But Karlsson back in Ottawa makes sense. With Daniel Alfredsson back with the team,
