BREAKING: Leafs Enforcer Suspended For Three Games After Crazy Brawl
Today the Toronto Maple Leafs organization was notified that an enforcer on Toronto has been suspended for three games after being involved in a major brawl.
Maple Leafs Enforcer Suspended For Three Games
Last night the Maple Leafs' AHL affiliate the Toronto Marlies found themselves in the middle of a brawl with the Belleville Senators. The brawl began after opposing enforcer Boko Imama bumped Marlies goalie Dennis Hildeby. As a result forward and enforcer MarliesKyle Clifford stuck up for his teammates.
The game turned to chaos as a full on brawl broke out with teams clearing the benches on both sides. As expected the Imama and Clifford are now facing discipline from the AHL for their actions. Both players have been suspended for 3 games.
This is one of the most epic bench-clearing fights we have seen in a long time in either the NHL or the AHL. Unfortunately for Toronto, it comes at the expense of veteran Kyle Clifford being suspended.
