The Toronto Maple Leafs have officially provided their first update on the health of goaltender Ilya Samsonov, who left game three after a scary scene. Toronto fans have been concerned about the health and safety of their goalie, and should be relieved by this news.
Samsonov Feeling Better
Sheldon Keefe met with the media today, and of course the topic on most people's minds was the status of goaltender Ilya Samsonov. When asked about Samsonov's status, Keefe said that the goalie was "feeling better today", but it was unclear when he would be available.
This is great news for Leafs nation, who were worried they may be without their starting goalie in a crucial game four against Florida. The Leafs will need to play their absolute best if they hope to beat Florida and stay alive, and Samsonov will be a major factor in that.
