BREAKING: Maple Leafs Secretly Make Two Roster Changes
The Toronto Maple Leafs have made two under-the-table moves that they do not want their fans to know about.
Leafs Send Down McMann and Lajoie
To say the Leafs have struggled with staying healthy this year would be an understatement. They are currently without three of their top six defensemen and have been struggling mightily on the blue line.
CapFriendly Transactions, an automated X account that announces every single roster move that is made, has just revealed that the Leafs have sent forward Bobby McMann and defenseman Max Lajoie down to the AHL.
Typically when the Leafs make a move like this there is a corresponding announcement from the Leafs, the Leafs PR, or the Marlies. However, none of these have addressed the move hinting at the Leafs looking to keep this as a paper move or the Leafs could be clearing out cap space for a potential trade.
This move clears out over $1 million in cap space so there is a fair chance that we are about to watch the Leafs make a trade or they are about to activate somebody off of the IR.
More details to come.
