In breaking news, a massive update on Auston Matthews' health has just been revealed during the Leafs practice today.

Auston Matthews Returns To the Ice After Missing Saturday's Game With Illness

The Toronto Maple Leafs have been struck with the flu bug, as many players missed time throughout the last few weeks due to an illness. Its most recent victim, Auston Matthews, missed Saturday's game with the illness.

Now, it appears Matthews has gotten over the sickness, as he returned to practice today with the Leafs.

Auston Matthews set to take part in practice today after missing Saturday due to illness

The Leafs cruised to an easy victory on Saturday over the struggling Penguins, scoring 7 goals without their leading goal scorer in Matthews.

His return will hopefully spark the Leafs to continue to build on their success as they continue to improve this season. Matthews has 23 goals and 12 assists in the 27 games he has played in. While the Leafs clearly didn't need him on Saturday, they will be happy to have him back against the Rangers tomorrow night.
