As had been rumored for days now William Nylander and the Toronto Maple Leafs finally agreed on a contract extension. The terms on the surface are an 8-year deal worth 11.5 million in AAV.
Since signing the deal officially NHL insiders have been able to share that Nylander's deal includes $69M in bonuses much of which will come early in the contract.

A graphic put together by CapFriendly is able to show the complete breakdown of base salary versus bonus money in each year of the contract. It looks as though the bonus money is higher in the first couple of years then it dips down and finally comes back up in the last 2 seasons.

It also shows that the base salary for Nylander in some years will be quite low. He also has a full No Movement Clause throughout the contract. This means if the team wants to move him they will need his permission before agreeing to a deal.
