Insider Reveals The Perfect Team For Nylander And It's Not Toronto
An insider has revealed the perfect team for William Nylander and has revealed why it is not the Maple Leafs.
The Perfect Nylander Team
Recently on the NHL Network, Mike Rupp revealed who he thought would be the perfect team for William Nylander.
He's going to be the guy. I think he can thrive with that. Plus, we know Willie loves good weather and he likes that kind of lifestyle too. So I think California would be perfect for him.
This is of course talking about the Anaheim Ducks who have all of this young talent. Their oldest core player is Troy Terry who is a year younger than Nylander and not as productive.
What Could A Trade Look Like?
With Anaheim, any Nylander trade would need to be centered around prospects and young players. They frankly do not have anybody up to Nylander's caliber.
However, their prospect cabinet is loaded top to bottom with elite talent all over. The Leafs would have their pick with whomever they wanted as very few Ducks prospects would be untouchable for Nylander.

To TOR:
Pavel Mintyukov (10th pick in 2022)
Lukas Dostal (top goaltending prospect)
2024 2nd round pick
While this does not make the Leafs any better in the present, it gives them a base and a core of players who could help them as they transition out of the core four era.
