Linus Ullmark is coming off of a historic season with the Boston Bruins. He post a 1.89 GAA, .938 sv% and won 40 total games.
With the Bruins seemingly blowing everything up after their first round loss to the Florida Panthers, Ullmark could be on his way out and teams are showing interest, including the Leafs.
Ullmark would be arguably the best goaltender the Leafs could have in the 21st century. His numbers were off the charts. Without Ullmark playing as well as he did, the Bruins certainly would have not had the historic regular season the did have.
The Leafs would likely need to give up top assets to acquire Ullmark but they could give the Bruins a package that gives them cap relief and is centered around futures. We could also see a goalie swap which gives the Bruins the younger Ilya Samsonov among other assets.
The Leafs will need to be hesitant if they do a goalie swap with the Bruins as the last time they did one, it ended horribly with the Leafs getting Andrew Raycroft and losing Tuukka Rask who was the Bruins starting goalie for over a decade.
