A future Leafs star?

As usual, Team Canada are expected to be the strongest team at the tournament, and now, The Athletic have projected their roster, with Maple Leafs prospect Fraser Minten included.

In three years and 144 games with the Kamloops Blazers in the WHL, Minten has tallied 55 goals and an impressive 140 points, and now the 6-foot-1, 185 pound forward is expected to be a key piece of the teams future.

A stacked Team Canada

According to The Athletic, Minten will join a group headlined by Zach Benson, Nate Danielson, Matthew Wood, Brandon Yager and Colby Barlow, and with his improved performance in recent years, Minten slides in on the fourth line.

At 19-years of age, Minten still has a long way to go to be considered an NHL ready prospect, but his improvements, both physically and mentally over the past 12 months cannot be understated, as the Maple Leafs may have a genuine rotation piece on their hands for the future.
