Elliotte Friedman, Sportsnet's Hockey Insider, discussed Keefe's future on the 32 Thoughts podcast.

do believe we're going to see the Maple Leafs and Keefe potentially discussing an extension. Initial meetings have taken place, and I wouldn't be surprised if the two parties explore such a possibility.

This is welcome news as Keefe is highly regarded by his players, and I believe he's done an admirable job in Toronto. He deserves at least one more shot at the playoffs.
