Regardless of your plans for them in the future, NHL teams want as many players as possible to participate in training camp. The Toronto Maple Leafs added two more fresh bodies today as two players returned from injury.
Recent Signing
Simon Benoit, signed to a one-year deal by the Leafs over the summer, has attended his first practice with Toronto. However, he remains in a no-contact jersey for now. Benoit has been dealing with back spasms.

Multiple Injuries
Also at his first practice of this year's training camp today was Bobby McMann.
While a knee injury has been his main issue, McMann told reporters he also been dealing with an adductor injury that has impacted his knee and groin.
McMann managed to get an eight-game stretch in the NHL last season when Auston Matthews went down with an injury. He's hoping to improve on that in 2023-24.
