Maple Leafs defenseman begs for another shot
Among the Toronto Maple Leafs' 10 unrestricted free agents this offseason, one player is making a heartfelt plea for another chance with the team.
Justin Holl, despite being a talented defenseman, faced criticism from Toronto fans throughout the season due to some questionable decisions on the ice, as exemplified by this incident:
Holl's agent, Brian Bartlett, shed some light on Holl's current mindset:
"He has really enjoyed his time in Toronto, loved the city and fans. The team was really good to him. It's not a 'get me out of here' situation at all."
The Leafs currently have five defensemen already under contract for the upcoming season (Morgan Rielly, TJ Brodie, Jake McCabe, Timothy Liljegren, and Connor Timmins), and it appears that Luke Schenn will also be re-signed.
Considering the situation, the question arises: Does Holl deserve another chance in Toronto, or should he pursue a potentially more lucrative opportunity in a market willing to pay him?
