Matthew Knies was forced to leave during the second round of the playoffs. He sustained a concussion after a dangerous hit by Sam Bennett.

The Leafs were eliminated before we could find out what was going on with Knies' status. We know that he started skating again and seemed on the right path to make a comeback.

Recently, he talked to a reporter about the injury and his current health.

David Alter revealed:

"Matthew Knies says he's fully recovered from the concussion he sustained in the playoffs. He says he was actually cleared to play in Game 6 against the Panthers had it happened."

This is huge! He was so close to coming back in the playoffs!

But the important thing is that he's healthy now and ready to continue the work!
