Today hockey insider Eklund of HockeyBuzz.com suggested that the Noah Hanifin sweepstakes have been narrowed down. The Toronto Maple Leafs and two other teams in the East remain in the race.

The Maple Leafs were originally rumored to be in on Nikita Zadorov and Chris Tanev. Now with Zadorov off to Vancouver, it seems the team has pivoted to Hanifin. The Zadorov deal could provide useful still when predicting a trade return needed to land Hanifin.
