Ryan Reaves Makes Maple Leafs History
It did not take long for Ryan Reaves to make Maple Leafs history with it taking only two days.
Reaves Makes Leafs History
Ryan Reaves has always worn number 75 with every single NHL team he has played for. With St. Louis, Pittsburgh, Vegas, New York, and Minnesota, 75 was one of the few consistencies with Reaves' career.
Today, it was announced what number the new Maple Leafs will be wearing.
Number 75
Reaves' new teammates, Bertuzzi, Domi, and Klingberg, all chose numbers that have been worn by a Leaf before.
However, the number 75 has never been worn by a Maple Leaf and Reaves will make history by being the first Leaf to wear the number.
With a franchise with such a rich history, it is rare for a number to have never been worn. Now, the only numbers to never be worn by a Leaf are 66, 68, 69, 79, 86, and 87. Every single other number, including 0 and 99 have been worn by a Toronto Maple Leaf.
