Marchand Injures Liljegren and the Leafs Do Nothing

Last Thursday, Boston Bruins captain Brad Marchand sent Leafs' defenseman Timothy Liljegren flying onto the boards.

This is what happened:

Later, it was announced that Liljegren would be placed on the LTIR, after it was confirmed he suffered a high ankle sprain.

Everyone in Toronto was unhappy with the team's response to the incident.

Treliving made acquisitions to ensure a situation like this one never happens. With Domi, Reaves and Bertuzzi, one could expect a significant retaliation.

But nothing happened.

Reaves' Lie Exposed

Reaves said that he didn't have the opportunity to fight Marchand becore the Bruins had the last change and they weren't on the ice at the same time.

"First of all, 'Get away from the bench.' Second of all, I guess he was lucky I wasn't out on the ice with him. Yeah, unfortunately they had last chance so I didn't get any shifts against him." - Ryan Reaves

That's a lie.

Marchand and Reaves were on the ice on two occasions after Liljegren left the game.

The good news is that 75 and 63 would both be on the ice together in two more shifts later in the game

Let's hope that Reaves will stop all this and focus on what he does best: enforce the security of his teammates.
