The Maple Leafs have made some big changes this summer, but none bigger than William Nylander, who has shifted to the center spot behind Matthews and Tavares to open up this lineup and give the team much needed depth.

Back to the wing?

However, at a recent practice, Nylander reportedly shifted back to the wing, skating alongside John Tavares, leaving some to believe a permanent change was coming yet again.

That may not be the case though, as Head Coach Sheldon Keefe has commented on the move ahead of another pre-season game on Friday.

Sheldon Keefe says William Nylander's move to the wing is nothing more than getting Fraser Minten another and having him in the mix.

No decisions have been made yet in terms of lineup for tomorrow.

A rising star

This is a great sign for the Maple Leafs, who have seen some fantastic play from young Fraser Minten this summer, and if the team continue to develop him well, he's expected to be a major part of their future.

Keefe has spoken glowingly of the 19-year old second-round draft pick all summer long, and while it's not expected to result in a spot on the roster for the regular season, it's a good sign moving forward.
