While many expected one of the Maple Leafs key prospects to steal a spot on the fourth line, now, it appears that Noah Gregor, who signed a PTO with Toronto this summer will take that spot when the puck drops on the 2023-24 season.
With Max Domi, Ryan Reaves, John Klingberg, and Tyler Bertuzzi helping round out the new additions on this roster, Gregor gives them depth and experience that could be crucial if he can find his groove on a talented fourth line.
After finally getting the first-round curse off their back last season, the Maple Leafs have done a great job of adding to their roster, and even in a very deep Eastern Conference, it appears that they're ready to take the next step this season.
Ultimately, Gregor, who has scored 18 goals and 40 points over his past two seasons won't be the difference maker for the Leafs, but if he can contribute with some key moments and play consistent hockey on the fourth line, this is a team that can beat anyone in the East.
