In interviews today, Leafs players were prompted on their opinions of Kyle Dubas. The leadership of the Leafs has some specifically kind words about Dubas.
With Auston Matthews revealing that the team has a great relationship with Dubas, it can lead one to speculate on whether or not a potential Dubas firing would ruin the core.
In addition to these words by Matthews, Morgan Reilly had some kind words for Dubas as well, taking ownership of the Leafs loss.
With Reilly saying this, it insinuates that Dubas built a team capable of winning the Stanley Cup but the team failed themselves.
