According to 98.5 The Sports Hub, Tyler Bertuzzi could be seeking an average salary of up to $7 million on the free agent market this summer. That's not a small price to pay, especially for a Leaf's team who already has so much of their cap tied up in four of their players.

How could Treliving justify offering Bertuzzi a long-term contract with a $7 million average annual value given their current cap situation?
It seems like Bertuzzi has priced himself out of Toronto, so what are some other options Treliving and Shanahan can consider? One name that intrigues fans is Max Domi, son of Leafs legend Tie Domi. Domi was once a promising young player and even put up 70+ points one season in Montreal.
After somewhat of a resurgence in Chicago and Dallas this season, Domi has solidified himself as a useful middle-six winger. Perhaps a chance to play with Leafs stars such as Matthews, Marner, Nylander, and Tavares could reignite that scoring flair we know he has.
Domi also has a very gritty, in-your-face style of play, which echoes the days of his father, Tie. Perhaps the Leafs could see Domi as a potential replacement for Michael Bunting, who has also likely priced himself out of Toronto.
