William Nylander's reported extension is all the talk right now as the Leafs hope to get a deal done in the coming days, and he may have just slipped on some details for his deal.

Nylander Hints At Upcoming Extension in Post Game Interview

Brad Treliving and the Toronto Maple Leafs have been working on a deal with William Nylander likely since the day he stepped into the GM role for the Toronto Maple Leafs. With Nylander playing lights out this season, the negotiations have only gotten harder, and it was reported by Elliotte Friedman that the two camps are close to closing a deal at $11.5 Million AAV.

Friedman just said that Leafs are closing in on an 8-year/$11.5M extension with Nylander

WOWZA

When asked after the game about the potential extension and if a deal was in place, Nylander may have tipped his hand, giving a smirk to the reporter when saying 'we will see'.

"We'll see. That would be a dream to stay here. I mean, to play for such an organization. And I call Toronto home, so I think that'd be a very special feeling."

Nylander Adds Another Two Goals During Contract Talks

It seems like every time a deal is reported to be closer to finished, William Nylander uses that as fuel to score even more goals for the Leafs. Last night, during the height of reports that a deal was close to being done, Nylander potted two goals in the Leafs game against the Sharks.

Nylander is sitting at 54 points in 37 games this season. Let's hope that doesn't drop off when a blockbuster deal is hopefully signed in the coming days.

As seen on Maple Leafs Daily - "Nylander tips his hand, may have revealed a little too much regarding his rumoured extension"
